I received an inquiry today about Atlas XL, a Microsoft Office Excel add-in that integrates with Dynamics AX, which is developed by Globe Software. It actually uses the Dynamics AX COM Business Connector on the desktop PC (i.e. a client deployment) to achieve this integration. Once the add-in is loaded in Excel, the user can connect to Dynamics AX and perform a variety of operations including both retrieving data from AX into a worksheet and writing data back to AX, all from the all-too familiar Excel interface.
